Catherine R. Kimambo is a Community representative of Basic Internet Foundation in Tanzania, she holds a Bachelor Degree in International Relations from the Open University of Tanzania. She is a recipient of YALI (Young African Leadership Initiave) scholarship which was launched by Former President of USA, Barack Obama. The YALI scholarship invests in the next generation of African Leaders.
Catherine has worked as a Youth leader and communication intern in Open Space Foundation in Bulgaria and Chamwino Arts Center (CAC) in Dodoma Tanzania. Catherine is the Founder and Creative Director of African Child Projects, an NGO that works with communities in rural Tanzania.
Through her work in the Basic Internet Foundation Catherine addresses technology by building digital societies in rural communities with women entrepreneurs, bridge the digital divide gap and installing Internet infrastructure in communities. Catherine is the coordinator of the SchoolConnectivity Project, a common effort by Vodacom, Tigo, TTCL, Government entities, Civil society and development partners . She is a blogger and a storyteller on how Internet is changing narratives in rural Africa,  where she shares transformative stories on Internet4good.
